We've brought Spring to Glasgow yesterday! Do you know the old Polish tradition of Drowning Marzanna (Topienie Marzanny)? You can read about it HERE.
We have a lovely song about Spring. It's by SKALDOWIE. Why don't you learn the chorus?
Wiosna - cieplejszy wieje wiatr
Wiosna - znów nam ubyło lat Wiosna, wiosna w koło, rozkwitły bzy
Śpiewa skowronek nad nami
Drzewa strzeliły pąkami
Wszystko kwitnie w koło, i ja, i ty!
And to make it a bit simpler I've separated syllables:
Wio-sna cie-plej-szy wie-je wiatr
Wio-sna - znów nam u-by-ło lat Wio-sna, wio-sna w ko-ło, roz-kwi-tły bzy
Śpie-wa sko-wro-nek nad na-mi
Drze-wa strze-li-ły pą-ka-mi
Wszys-tko kwit-nie w ko-ło, i ja, i ty!
tyle, że - but, however
potrafić - be able, can
zrobić - completed form of 'robić''; zrobi - he/she will do
We use completed forms of verbs to express future tense.
