Basic grammar rules - verbs, nouns, adjectives

* verbs - the endings tell you what person does the activity

kochać – to love

* nouns and adjectives - we group them according to their gender

feminine nouns usually end on -a (torba)
masculine nouns usually end on a consonant (dom)
neuter nouns end on -o or -e (oko)

feminine adjectives usually end on -a (duża)
masculine adjectives usually end on -y or -i (duży)
neuter adjectives end on -e (duże)

Based on that we can form sentences such as:
 
Ta torba jest duża. - This bag is large.
Ten dom jest duży. - This house is big.
To oko jest duże. - This eye is big.
